THE PROJECT:
Nature unfiltered is never perfect. In this spirit, we are seeking design that showcases a material or process in its most natural, unfiltered state: design that is considered, but not contrived, design that embraces both chaos and craft, and design that can stand alone without explanation. If your process becomes Unfiltered, what kind of object will that yield? The unique responses to this question by talented designers will be presented in the American Design Club’s 8th exhibition during ICFF 2012.

We believe in hours of hard work being undone by moments of inspiration, and vice versa. An unfiltered process, in our eyes, is one that leaves nothing hidden and nothing unexplored.”
ABOUT American Design Club (AmDC)
AmDC exists to encourage and promote the efforts of young designers in the United States by creating a platform for the sharing of inspiration, ideas, and resources. We do this by holding juried exhibitions, showing the work of our members at industry events, and promoting new designers and their work online. Our events foster camaraderie and connections between designers, and help to define us as an organization of individuals bound together by diversity. Though we began in New York we aim to be locally, nationally, and globally relevant as the definition of “American” is constantly changing.
