BÖRJE KARLSSON – MASTER BLENDER

Each batch of Karlsson’s Gold vodka is carefully blended and chosen by Master Blender Börje Karlsson. Börje Karlsson has a long spirits background and was brought out of retirement to bring the Swedish virgin potatoes taste and character into a vodka.

Börje Karlsson came from a long career at V&S. He was head of laboratory and product development manager at V&S during the development of ABSOLUT vodka.

When the farmers of Cape Bjäre wanted to bring their delicacy potatoes out to the world – Peter Ekelund (founder of Karlsson’s Gold vodka) reached out to his old colleague from V&S company who he knew has incredible taste and had brought successful recipes to brands before.

After working several years on Small batch vintages – Börje Karlsson realized that Swedish virgin potatoes did differ by year and harvest as they do not have any skin. Therefore a blend was made, using seven varieties of Swedish virgin potatoes – Karlsson’s Gold vodka.
